This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines our guidelines for refunds and cancellations on purchases made through our platform. Please read this policy carefully:

1. Refund Eligibility

1.1 Vendor Cancellation: If a vendor cancels an order, the buyer is eligible for a full refund of any payments made for the canceled order.

1.2 Buyer-Initiated Refunds: Customers can initiate refund requests under the following circumstances:

  • Stale Product: If a customer receives a product that has Staled, they are eligible for a refund.
  • Damaged Parcel: If a customer receives a damaged Parcel that is unusable or unsafe to use, they are eligible for a refund.
  • Product Not Matching Description: If a delivered product does not match the description provided by the vendor and does not meet reasonable expectations, the buyer may be eligible for a refund.
  • Weight or Image Discrepancy: If the actual product received significantly differs in weight or appearance from what was described by the vendor, and the difference is not due to lighting conditions or minor variations, the buyer may be eligible for a refund.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Order Cancellation: Buyers can cancel their order within 60 seconds of making the payment. Any cancellation request made after this period will not be accepted.

2.2 Refund Process: Once an order is canceled, the refund process will be initiated and typically completed within 5 to 7 business days. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

3. Refund Request Process

3.1 Vendor Initiated Refunds: If a vendor cancels an order or agrees to a refund, they are responsible for initiating the refund process. Buyers will be notified of the refund, and the funds will be returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.

3.2 Buyer-Initiated Refunds: If a buyer wishes to request a refund for an eligible order, they must contact the Food On Tips support team to initiate the refund process. The support team will review the request and may approve or deny it based on their policies.

3.3 Dispute Resolution: If a refund dispute arises between a vendor and a buyer, we encourage both parties to engage in our platform's dispute resolution process to reach an amicable resolution. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter will be resolved in accordance with Indian law.

4. No Refund Policy

4.1 Change of Mind: We do not provide refunds for cancellations initiated by buyers solely due to a change of mind after the product or service has been delivered or performed.

Special Note: If the delivery personnel are en route, and in situations where the customer does not acknowledge a call attempt within a 30-minute window or mistakenly designates an address more than 2 kilometers distant from the accurate delivery location, no refund will be issued, and the full order amount will be liable to incurring a penalty.

5. Changes to Refund Policy

Food On Tips reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Users will be notified of changes through our platform. Continued use of our platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated refund policy.
